TENN CENT Philosophy:
Stack Success and Build on Failure
The Floor for Your Growth
Let's build a foundation that allows you to scale mountains like molehills.
Most organizations don't fail because they lack a great product or a compelling mission; they fail because their internal "pipes" burst under the pressure of scaling. Whether you are a bootstrapped startup in a mountain town or a funded tech venture, growth is a stress test that reveals every single point of failure in your systems. Let’s architect the systems, rituals, and accountability structures that make growth sustainable. Bridge the gap between a founder’s vision and the "messy middle" of scaling.
You’re in the right place if you are:
A startup or small business with market fit looking to scale beyond $1-5M
Early founders ready to plant that digital flag and build a foundation of scalable processes and technologies ready to get that first million in revenue
Ready for Ruthless Execution
You’re barking up the wrong tree if you are looking for:
Fluffy generic advice pulled from an MBA textbook
Platitudes and jargon from an alignment coach
Back pats from a sycophant. LLM chats can give you that.
From Founder Chaos to System-Based Growth
As a "Senior Advisor who isn't too good to take out the trash," you can apply 20 years of technical tenure to your physical and digital operations. Transition from a "one-man band" to the "conductor" of a scalable orchestra.
We’ll focus on Operational Resilience & Agility: the ability for your company to scale, pivot, and endure without burning out your best people. Your people aren’t human resources, a family, rockstars, divas, or gurus. They are the neural network building your future success.
Let's build a foundation that allows them to scale mountains like molehills.

Meet Me:
Eric E Johnson
Tennessee born and raised. Hence the name, Tenn. Cent.
After a few years working for larger companies like AO Smith WPC and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, I found my place in Nashville’s scrappy startup scene and volunteer community (Nashville Class 56). Working with a boutique software company that went all in on iOS, I was active in a burgeoning tech community while leading teams delivering cutting edge mobile platforms including the first HIPAA compliant messaging app for hospitals and one of the first pay-at-the-pump phone apps.
I helped run GiveCamps and Geek Socials. Through the (now Greater) Nashville Technology Council, I interned with the Board of Directors, taught high schoolers how to build an app, guided TN Tech Computer Science students in multiple capstone projects, connected graduates with jobs, and was nominated for 2013 Volunteer of the Year. I even had my Part 107 from the FAA flying drones commercially before it was cool. All the photos on this site taken by yours truly.
Salida, Colorado resident since October 2021. I was just another trashplant remote worker in fintech and helathcare until the summer of 2025. That was when I decided to get more involved in the community. My Summer of Service included maintaining and building trails with Salida Mountain Trails and serving on the advisory board for Synergy in the Service Industry.
I am currently working from The Lobby and growing my network in Central Colorado’s startup community that very much reminds me of Nashville fifteen years. Talented people determined to diversify the state’s economy and earn their spot on the map of innovators and and trend setters.
Let’s build what matters.
